License Types

This section describes the main license types for PEKAT VISION, Development License, and Runtime License. For pricing info, please contact sales@pekatvision.com.

Trial License

Each software instance after the first installation has the option to start a 30-day trial license of all features. It is not possible to repeat the trial license on the same hardware after exhausting the 30 days.

Development License

The Development Licenses are recommended for training projects which will be then imported into inspection devices with Runtime licenses.

Development Time Dongle License

The Time Dongle Development License is available as a yearly subscription, with reduced pricing upon renewal.

The user can train several projects with a Development License and purchase a Runtime License without Training for an inspection station, reducing licensing costs.

Runtime Licenses

By default, the runtime license includes the use of a single camera through the Genicam interface. However, there is an option to unlock additional cameras. Runtime licenses are lifetime and require no renewal fee. Runtime licenses are split into several types based on the number of modules or enabling the training feature.

Runtime license with training

The ability to train modules is enabled on this license.

Multi Module

Multiple AI modules are able to be inserted into the processing flow.
Inspection can be run using a processing flow with several AI modules.

Single Module

Only single AI module can be inserted into the processing flow
Inspection can be run using only a single AI module in the processing flow
Software will return error in case multiple modules are present in the processing flow.

In case of purchasing a single-module license, all other remaining non-AI modules are available such as Preprocess, Measure and image enhancement tools.

Runtime license without training

The ability to train modules is disabled on this license. For training - a separate development license is necessary.

Inspection can be run using only a single AI module in the processing flow
