This guide will help you with the process of setting up your PEKAT PV50C camera after you first receive it.
Packaging
Together with the PV50C camera, you should also get an IO cable and a power cable. After unwrapping all of the packaging you should have the following items:
Mounting and connecting to network
Once you unpack the camera, first mount it on a profile to facilitate cooling. More information about how to correctly mount the camera on a profile can be found here:
https://pekatvision.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB32/pages/961150993/Installation+and+storage#Overheating-and-coolingAfter this, you can connect camera to network and power it up by connecting Power / IO cable and Network cable.
To be able to connect to the camera, your network has to have a DHCP server which will assign an initial IP address to the camera. You can change this address later.
Connecting to camera
Once your camera has been connected to network and given an IP address you can connect to it, but first you need to find the IP address that was assigned to the camera. You can do this using PEKAT Finder, after pressing the “SCAN NETWORK” button, the PEKAT Finder will display IP addresses of all accessible PEKAT PV50C cameras within the network.
After this, you can simply click on a IP address displayed in the PEKAT Finder and a web browser window will be opened with remote connection to the PEKAT software running on that camera.
Congratulations, you have successfully finished setting up your PEKAT PV50C camera
Reconnecting
To reconnect to the PEKAT Software running on the camera again after closing the window, restarting the computer or otherwise disconnecting, simply ensure that the camera is connected to the network and running and repeat the steps taken in the connecting to camera section.
