Images Manager
The Images tab is used for managing images for your project, allowing you to add, delete images and edit their names. It also allows creating tags and assigning them to images.
Moving the cursor to the image thumbnail will display buttons for editing the name, deletion, opening a slideshow and assigning tags.
To quickly delete a number of images, you can click on them to select them (it is possible to use Shift key to select a range of images) and then click the DELETE SELECTED button, alternatively, you can also use the SELECT ALL button to select all images.
The number in the brackets indicates the number of images selected.
On the left there is also the option to search for a specific image by name, and on the right there are sorting options available.
Uploading images
Images can be uploaded using the Add images button or by dragging them into the window.
Before adding them, you can pre-process the images, which allows you to reduce their size or add a prefix before their names in bulk.
PEKAT supports .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .tiff, .tif image file extensions
Another way to add images is Add folders which allows adding whole folders (even with subfolders) at once. After you select a folder in the dialog window, all images inside it are uploaded. If the folder contains subfolders, the resulting image names will contain subfolder name as a prefix in this way:
The same options for resize and adding prefix are available also when uploading images from folders.
Capture Camera Incoming Images
Another option is to capture incoming images from the camera.

Module’s Images
For AI Modules, the list of images is used either for training or validation.
The list can be sorted or filtered according to the available module options.

Tags
Tags allow you to create and assign custom labels to your images.
If you click on Open tags in the Images tab, you can create new tags or delete them. Tag names must be unique.
Then you can assign them to an image using the tags icon when hovering over the image in Image tab, or in list of images in some Module by right-clicking the image and selecting Update tags. In the module image list, you can also select multiple images using Shift or Ctrl and update their tags in bulk the same way.
Assigned tags can then be used in Smart Sorting to assign classes - e.g. in Anomaly Detector, Classifier or Report. They can be used separately or in combination with prefix/regex. Image is selected if it satifies all rules - all selected tags and prefix/regex.
Tags can be also used for filtering images. You can select one or multiple tags to get images which have all of them.
